I saw the Wizard!

 Mater farm: post-frost; pre-storm

Oh, such bad news from the doc! The lesions on my arms are not skin cancer; they are age spots. Dammit call them anything but age spots; that's what old people have; I am young and vibrant with soft hide like a baby. Just because my hair is white, most of my teeth are missing, I am deaf in my left ear, can't half see, and I smell badly they think I have age spots.

The doctor is very observant; as soon as he walked in he saw my gnarled and crooked hands and said "You have rheumatoid arthritis!", to which I replied "Does it show?"!

He said my two spots were nothing to worry about; one is similar looking to a wart. He liked me so well he wants a return engagement next Wednesday morning; he did find a skin cancer on my back and I am to have it scrapped, burned, sliced and diced, and removed. Him telling me that piece of news was still not as bad as knowing I have age spots.

Actually, the worst part of today's experience was sitting in the waiting room for more than an hour; I was getting ready to take my age spots and leave when they called me back. Fortunately they did not make me get on the scales.

Have a good ... whatever it is ... tomorrow.

Y'all!

Which skin doctor did you see? They are several in JC. I saw Dr. Light two years ago and people he is well known for the long wait in his waiting room. Glad it wasn't skin cancer. I hate the term aging spots also. You and I are not old just mature.

Thanks, Alice.
I saw Dr. Leicht over at E.T.S.U. Physicians.
He did find a cancer on my back and will remove it next week. I'll be sore for a few days, I suppose. :-)

I had some spots checked out a couple years ago. No big deal really. Numb it up and hack it off and they send you out the door with a band aid.

Do you think the old nasty magazines in the office are full of germs.

I typed for a dermatologist for 8 years or so and Oh the horrors. did you know you can have your "age spots" dermabraded off? you can have just about anything on your face "rejuvinated" with fat from your arse or with botox. Scars, pimples, precancers, skin cancers, nevi, keratosis, unwanted hairs... all wisked away with a laser, needle, or scapel for a small fee (?!). Dermatologists in Florida make the big bucks yes sir. I am certain your small skin cancer Ken will be removed thoroughly and completely. Mark has a point. those mags probably have all sorts of germs. Take a good book next visit.
Happy Friday. No work for me today (the load is low). I'm off to run errands this a.m. and possibly spend time dead-heading my zinnias in the afternoon. Peace. xoxo

I ain't worried about the surgery; doc said it was "superficial" anyway. I am used to carrying a lot of physical pain, so I will be doing regular stuff I suppose. Glad it wasn't on my ass!

I try not to touch anything in a docs office. The worst part about this one is that they have "Infectious Disease" patients using the same waiting room; I also have to sit there when I go to heart doc.

Thanks, Mark.

Thanks, Tammy

I love those people who have the vanity surgery done for no real reason. I suppose FL and CA have a lot of dermatologists.

The price just dropped dramatically on Kindles and Nooks, so I have definite plans for one; my birthday is soon and I am hinting Carolyn up pretty heavy.

Garden time is quality time! Have a good weekend, my friend.
