Kissing tree/mistletoe
Just read in the newest Popular Science (I may be just a teeny bit geeky) that a lot of fish are changing sex, or at least being both sexes at once. This makes the old "go screw yourself" take on a new connotation. Anyway, black bass species including fisherman-popular large mouth and small mouth types are developing the ability for males to create female eggs in their sex organs. This may not bode well for humans because the problem stems from water pollution. Tests have found that parts per trillion of birth control hormones are going from our bodies through our waste water filtration plants and directly into rivers and streams. Many times, this same water is picked up by our municipal water systems and sent back to us after being treated, but the hormone contaminants are not being effectively filtered. So dudes, if you find yourself lingering in front of window displays where all the women's new winter styles are being shown, you may be suffering from excessive estrogen in your gonads. Just the other day, I found myself looking at bra and pantie ads in a catalogue.
It may come to the point where women can reproduce by themselves, but the offspring will be female only. Don't worry guys; we we still be needed to take out the garbage.

The DC Sniper is due to be legally killed tonight and I suppose his death will bring the victims back to life. I say grow up America and join the civilized world; killing just leads to more killing. We are a nation of zealous fools based on the Bible and Koran saying it is all right to commit "justifiable" murder. Just because we can do something does not make it the right thing to do.

For the first time in more than two years, my electric bill is less than $100. Maybe after 15 years the power board has figured out that I have natural gas heat and stove.

Did you know that there have been at least three unemployment compensation extensions this year and another is in the works? To go along with that, a lot of out of work people are getting an extra one-third added to their benefits by the feds. This all comes mostly from the economic stimulus that a legitimate government put into place. I hope G.W. Bush don't catch the fish sex-change thing and begin producing little Bushies of his own; one was/is way more than enough. We cannot stand another illegitimate presidency.

Fish changing sex, people with allergies to some many foods these days. Big problems. When is your hairdressr appt.?
The death penalty simply needs to end. Killing is killing, sanctioned or not.
My electiric bill will be around $70.00 in the witer and $150.00 in the summer.
The stimulus is full of thigns that most of us do not know about.
I need to dig in a little more and see what else there is.
I'm usually not so pessimistic but this fish thing saddens me. the environment is a direct reflection of us. We are slowly destroying the planet and some days even saving a caterpillar or bee doesn't give me hope. Humans are selfish. my heart weeps for the male fish and his sex change.
Yes, killing is killing. I wonder if the families of the victims of sniper really wanted to see this execution. I understand their pain but if I were them I wouldn't like to participate in such pathetic "performance".

Thanks, Mark. Yeah, the sex change is worrisome, and I think it isn't food we are allergic to but the crap we use to grow and preserve it. We have been guinea pigs for so many years, and now it is catching up with us. Tammy has the right about idea about eating organic foods as much as possible.

Thanks, Jola. Americans are so conditioned to casual death and violence. Most of the victim's families seem to be glad the sniper was killed. It is depressing.
