Tiger lilies grow along the roadsides all through these hills and mountains. I don't know if they are native or introduced, but they are showy, very pretty and easy to photograph. I shot these from the car and then gave it a slight glamour treatment with Paintshop Pro. I like wild flowers.
BTW, I did drive up one of the mountain hollers, and there were black clouds and sprinkles all over the sky; I ain't brilliant when it comes to tempting fate.

There are lots of wildflowers around here along the roadside.
Many are leftovers from Ladybird Johnson's highway project.
Lady Bird had a good idea and it should be continued.
