Tax day minus six

Watauga Lake Sunset

Shot day and lab work day. Red bud winter is here with possible frost by tomorrow morning. The rain has washed some of the pollen out of my life and I can see fairly well today. I have to go out for another appointment and will write more later if I think of anything besides TAXES!
----
This Friday's "F" word is flibbertigibbet: noun A silly, scatterbrained, or garrulous person. (American Heritage Dictionary)
----
Have a fab Friday!

Ken get your taxes done so we can move onto something more fun. I like the words of the day.
I also like when Jola pipes in with her opinions and lovely writing style. It is so interesting to get perspective from a friend living on a different side of our planet, isn't it?
I watched the male wren feed his little nesting bride this morning. They are aware that I am present and watching but they are tolerating me. She is lining the nest with her feathers now and sits most of the day and night. The birdfeeder is close by but draws a rat or two at night. I've been trying to keep them at bay. Will rats eat the eggs do you think? I'll do all in my power to protect this little project of mine. Lovely photo.
have a good weekend

American (Internet) Friends appeared in my life rather accidentally, but they mean a lot for me.
A word 'heritage' is lovely. It's so easy to remember for the foreigner ( a word 'flibbertigibbet' is a bit difficult to pronounce).
Dictionaries are my favorite books! As for English language (and American) there is a fabulous series" Longman"; so popular in my country.
A young generation (generation of democracy) - as my daughter, speaks English fluently. The best is to know three European languages at least (my daughter knows also German). A variety of languages in Europe is wonderful!

As for the birds, there are mainly magpies and crows close to my home; sometimes so nosy and funny birds.
Have a great weekend, my friends :-)

Where did you come across your word of the day?

Pollen got washed away last night however the count is very high today and my nose is either stuffed or running even with drugs.

As far as I know, rats will eat anything but are more likely to take the young birds. I doubt if you have many worries, though. My son killed our rats with a .22 rifle.

Thanks, Tammy. Have yourself a wonderful weekend.

Mu uncle loved dictionaries; when he died, his son found more than 60 of them in his house ... some were foreign language.
Most Americans are supposed to learn a foreign language in primary school but few do. I like listening to foreign dialogue.
We don't have magpies where I live, but we do have many crows and they are very intelligent birds.

Have a super weekend, Jola.
(Sorry to hear about your president being killed.) :-(((

Google; I google "unusual words that begin with f". There is usually a list of dictionaries that have them and I pick the first freaky one I come to.

Our pollen is back today; red buds are in full bloom along with dandelions and flox. Still some pines having sex.

Thanks, Mark.

Hi Tammy,
Our rats came from a dog lot our neighbors abandoned. Rifle worked well.
