Lovely photo Ken. The rich green grass, blue of the sky and mountains, and the perky yellow. Such crisp colors are rare this far south.
I had to close the blind to the wren nest as my own cat has been watching from inside terrorizing the poor family. I proped open the blind with a clothes pin so I could still peak. They are getting pretty testy about visitors and I'll bet the babies are soon to hatch.
Nice to see Jola back on her feet again after a staggering blow to her spirit.
At times I am astounded by the beauty of these hills; thanks, my friend.
I can imagine the reaction of the wrens to a cat so close. Yes, it is time for the birds to be anxious and they will remain so until the babies are on their own. Mama Tammy will be just as anxious, I feel. :-)
You need to onto the grounds and explore. Be there are some great things here.
The grounds are still off limits to the taxpayers who own them. The city recently acquired the property and it is being demolished and made ready for medical and retail businesses to be built. It would have made a great park.
Thanks, Mark.
THE BABIES ARE HERE!
I cannot believe how big their little beaks pop open. I'm so excited and can't wait to take their picture (when mamma is away).
This field looks lovely to lay in and watch the clouds go by.
I knew as soon as I saw where you had made another comment that they were here!
Congratulations to mom and pop and to Tammy the godmother.
For sure on the photos! :-)
