Sunday Blues

Anything the administration does now will be a victory for Republican minorities; those are the ones with the most money flowing into their coffers from the Big Medical influences. Obama fired an opening salvo and immediately retreated. By not sticking by the people, he allowed the ultra-right wing hate groups to win not just a battle but an entire war. This is the "Real Change" he promised us? No, just more political bullshit to get elected. If he allows this opportunity to bring meaningful change for a broken system to go by the wayside without a public option, I will do everything I can to see he does not pull more than four years as president. I know I can do but little to stop the insanity, but try I surely shall. The United States of America needs very much to be brought into the 21st Century and retake its place along side other free nations whom place the welfare of their citizens above corporate earnings. It will not happen, and the decline of America will take one more giant step toward total dominance by Big Business. Much of America's corporations are now owned or controlled by other nations including communist China, and they are the one's supporting the Republican Party.

Bosch, a German owned company and one of my town's remaining large industrial employers, is closing the doors to its plant. Just one more step in the transformation of this small city from industrial based economy into a large nursing home for the influx of wealthy retirees. The rest of us be damned.

Carolyn finally got out of bed long enough to sit in the office chair for more than an hour. The original problem of the extremely sore leg remains.

You must be patient and wait a bit for the definitive results of this surgery. It's good if Carolyn is going to the bathroom many times. It case of woman it is v. important. It means that her bladder works well. Please take care of her diet. She should eat only boiled products, or steamed - not fried! And she should take special pills for women with the vitamins and all needed microelements. In Poland such drug is called Falvit (v. good), unfortunately I do not know American medicines.

Ken, you comment to the political affairs, so it's pretty good ... ;-)

It is good that Carolyn is back at home. I am sure that see must want to get out and do things instead of being stuck in bed most of the time.

As for Obama it may be time for him to call his team in and regroup just a bit. It seems that things are really slipping away in many places and much of his problem is coming from jim not being forceful in pushing his agenda. You are correct about the ultra*right wing.

I wondered if Obama would be able to live up to the promises that we asked him to make. I keep reminding myself that change takes time and I think it is important that "we the people" keep reminding him that we are still here and need that promised leadership. The sewage left over from the last administration still stinks. Gotta keep hoping, keep moving, and love hard the people that you love.. This is what makes us real. Happy to hear Lady Carolyn is feeling better enough to make a potty. For us girls... that is a good thing!!! Peace from the Swamp in FL. xoxo Tammy

Thanks, Jola.
I read your advice to her, so we will see how hard headed she is. ;-)))

No fried food? She ate a hamburger Saturday! Maybe she will tolerate it. The doc told her to eat a bland diet, but offered no specifics.

Thanks, Mark.

Carolyn hates to see these pretty days go by without being able to participate.

Yes, Obama seems to be hanging back too much, a lot like Jimmy Carter did.

Thanks, Tammy.

I always take political promises as just political maneuvring, but he has chosen healthcare to be his main agenda in his first year in office. It is badly needed, and that fact is beginning to hit us very hard now that Carolyn's medical bills are rolling in.

The sewage from Bush is worse than that of Nixon, but not as bad as that of Reagan. Bush just upped the ante on an already sick situation which was begun by Reagan and his conservative supporters, including so-called democrats in congress.

I am going to send a few orange-clad volunteers to the swamp to rassle some gators come Saturday. Please send any remains of the football squad back to Knoxville c.o.d. ;-)
