Coffee, coiffin, and killer

Carolyn amidst Easy Riders
Not much going on today; I have some taxes to do and Carolyn has to go to work for a little while. Our coffee maker is broken and she will be shopping for a new one, probably a percolator this time instead of the drip style. We've never had a drip-type machine to last more than three years and most of them don't get the coffee hot enough anyway.
----
A Kentucky idiot killed his wife, step-daughter, three neighbors, and then killed himself all because his wife didn't cook his eggs to suit him. Seems like a valid reason to me.
----
Another tragedy has struck due to the failure of big business to maintain its part of our nation's infrastructure. A large natural gas pipeline in California exploded and killed at least four people and injured nearly 60 more. Just another nail in the collective American coffin. Pacific Gas & Electric is well known for their disregard of human life in the pursuit of profits. Have you seen the movie Erin Brockovich?

Anyone besides me getting the annoying "Service Unavailable - Error 503" on Blogger? Been happening fairly regularly for about two weeks.
----

Have a good Sunday!

So tragic events in the US! I'm so sorry, my friend.

I like the photo and its title: Carolyn amidst Easy Riders. Ken, I hope your wife was very glad of your last trip to Chattanooga, however, yes, I know, it was too short. :-(

Yes, sometimes I get "Service Unavailable - Error 503", and I can't leave a comment on your blog.

I heard a lot about this movie "Erin Brockovich". Unfortunately, I haven't watch it yet.

Too much craziness going on here; too many poor and uneducated people; too many who were not raised to be good people or citizens, and some just plain mean.

We don't live so far from Chattanooga; we can return reasonably quickly.

Thanks for the "Error" info. It is making commenting and blogging difficult.

"Erin Brockovich" is a pretty good movie. She pretty well and single-handedly brought PG&E to their knees.

Thanks, Jola. :-)

No service error's for me. But that would seem to fit the sceme of things from my point of view.

The infastructure in this country is in bad shape and if that does not get fixed these things will happen much more often. Companies have made the decision to keep large profits instead of fixing the things that have brought them the profits. PG&E will pay dearly for this.

Don't ruin the eggs.

After the Erin Brockovich thing and the huge awards to their victims, PG&E filed for bankruptcy and the taxpayers of California bailed them out which eventually led at Ahnold becoming governor. It will be interesting to see how Schwarzenegger handles this; or he may just decide to stay in China.

No eggs.

Thanks, Mark.
