Don't tell me I've nothing to do!☺
The Lady Vols play Alabama in basketball tonight. It is the Southeastern Conference tournament being contested in Little Rock, Arkansas. Tennessee usually gets a bye on day one of play, but their poor record this year earned them a lousy seeding.

I am so looking forward to the weekend and temps near 80ºF. The camera is screaming to be allowed out of the drawer, and I need a break myself.
----
I am now the proud owner of a Facebook account. Why? I haven't a clue! For the past few days I have been talking to myself.
----
It is getting close to game time, so I will not bother you much today.

Facebook account? You are brave, Ken. Asia, my daughter, has such account and many, many friends from many, many countries. I think it would be a bit tiresome for me. I prefer "cosiness".
D. bought for me a new laptop with new software 2007. It's a bit difficult for me now. Well, I'm rather old-fashioned woman.
Talking to myself? Oh, I think it's not bad for man who loves writing; however my Polish friend Stefan claims that writing is a kind of neurasthenia. I love his blog. On my Polish blog I posted a photo of fresh tulips (on Flickr too) and Aleksander, my friend living in Chicago, wrote me: I miss Poland, it is like a strong heart ache. We were studying together, in the same college. Aleksander collects pictures and … women. And only his friends know how unhappy he is sometimes.
I did not notice earlier this remark "out for the day" I worried about you; so I’m here, on your blog.
Pa, my friend. :-))
Hi, Jola.
I wanted to see what Facebook is all about; I have no friends there and will soon delete the account.
I have a laptop, but find it difficult to use. I assembled my desktop pc at home and much prefer it, although it is getting old.
I have acquaintances from abroad, and most of them miss their home countries. Roots are difficult to remove from the native soil. People like your Aleksander use sex or something else to substitute for happiness. I suppose we all have fantasy worlds to turn to at times, but I cannot imagine living in one.
I saw your tulips, but haven't had a chance to comment as yet.
I tried to get out and make some photos yesterday, but I ended up doing a lot of driving and very few photos. I am in the middle of an R.A. flareup, and am too sore to do much, but it should pass in a few days. When it does fade, I will be back commenting and writing and making a nuisance of my self. ;-)
Pa, Jola, and thanks for caring and stopping by the blog. It means very much to me.
Your friend,
Ken
I think there is no such necessity to delete your facebook account. Web is a wonderful place where we can meet different interesting people. We – you and me – also met in a virtual world.
I'm waiting patiently for your return. I wouldn't like to disturb you. I'm sure you took wonderful photos. Changes, travels, and … silence are so important in our life.
Take care for yourself, and I promise you to post on my stream a photo of the the next bouquet of tulips, this time - yellow, what means only one: SPRING. :-))
Pa, Ken – j.
Facebook—like my Twitter account—is something I did just to see how it works and to know if there was any benefit for me. Twitter was ok, but I see no need for Facebook or Myspace. Mostly something to consume time. :-)
It is now Monday and I feel some better, except now I have chest congestion. It too shall pass! :-)
I will be looking for yellow tulips! ;-)))
Pa Jola,
Ken
I also felt an ache last days, so eventually I visited my doctor today. He examined me accurately and explained what is going on with my body (it was also blood test). Well, everything was a bit expensive, but now I know that I'm safe. I must be patient simply. Interior stitches heal slowly and it is not easy process.
I know that you like Internet and you know this virtual space very well. I like Internet too, but not all my web contacts and experiences were good, so now I'm rather careful. I like outlook in my office, my personal email account, Google, some websites (especially these useful in my work), some Polish blogs, and now Flickr
Chest congestion? I checked in my dictionary; it sounds seriously. I hope, Ken, you don't smoke cigarettes. Cigarettes are very harmful.:-(
Of course it's wonderful that feel better. I'm really glad of this fact. You wrote a new post on your blog. It's a good sign. Writing is like a good medicine; for me too.
I remember about yellow tulips. ;-)))
Pa, Ken - j.
I am sorry you have felt badly, but glad you had it taken care of. It is good that you are young and strong, although it may not feel that way at times. Medical care is very expensive, and we have some of the world's highest prices in the US.
I don't do a lot of socializing on the internet; Flickr and exchanging an occasional email is about all I do, and have been doing that for only a couple of years, but I have been using the internet regularly since 1994.
The chest congestion is pretty normal this time of year with allergies from pollen and such. I don't think it is anything serious like pneumonia. No, I don't smoke anything these days, and i quit smoking cigarettes in 1983. Nasty addiction!
I'm glad you like to write, and I just bet you write some good poetry.
I was just sitting on the porch watching a squirrel devour our last tulip bud. I don't mind, though; squirrels are beautiful too. :-)
Ken, I red your last description of journey and I think that there are good roads in US. It must be a funny remark for you, but I don’t joke. Roads are still weak point of our economy, something which is very tiresome for us, especially for such people like D. who loves driving. Our economy develops and we need more roads and more comfortable; but our governments are still helpless and we, voters, are simply angry.
Sometimes I write poems. I do it spontaneously, they are short, and some of them I like.
BTW: D. quit smoking in 2005. You are both good boys.;-)))
Tennessee roads are much better than average, although most states have good roads. I have driven on some roads that were a challenge from pothole to pothole. D. would love driving on our roads.
I suppose national security comes first for most countries, and infrastructure is generally neglected for that purpose and for education.
I thought you may be a person that writes poetry. :-)
Quitting smoking is the most difficult thing I've ever done, and after doing so, I realized there was nothing I could not do within my physical abilities.
