How hot and dry is it in East Tennessee? Today, I had the unfortunate privilege of driving downtown to the courthouse. While waiting for a traffic light to change, I noticed sparrows darting in-and-out from underneath cars in front of me. It took a few seconds to discern the purpose for such activity, and to my astonishment, they were getting a drink of water from puddles that dripped from auto air conditioners.

I will be leaving on a little jaunt to Fort Oglethorp, Georgia come early morning. It is a suburb of Chattanooga, Tennessee, but sales taxes are less there. I have kin nearby—an aunt and her family—but I won't be dropping in to say hello.

I have to finish getting things in order and preparing my last photo for Flickr until I return. Goodbye, for now.
