March!

February and its sissy Valentine’s sweet-sh-t videos are back on the shelf. March is here and March ain’t to be taken lightly, therefore my first video for this incredible month is from the best metal band; Judas Priest … You’ve Got Another Thing Comin’.

This is all I have for today; tomorrow I hope to have some more info about image theft on the web; today I found two more of my pics which have been stolen and Cyrus and Maggie each have several images purloined.

Have a great Thursday; it’s great to be alive and be in East Tennessee.

thanks for the link to the firefox addon. I missed that post on Facebook. While looking at my roses.. I found so many people using them, it started to look like a daunting task to take them all to task. (yeah I did that diliberately... looking at this stuff just makes me silly). Most of the bloggers who used my Peace rose left my "mmmee" signature on it; and had all these nice things to say about roses. I think most people do not even realize that they are actually 'stealing' my photos. The ones who use my photos for advertising (the ones I notified a while ago) have taken my roses off their advertising site... there is still one or more left up, though. It will take me ages to notify all these folks and try to 'educate' them about the copyright laws. But, I guess we have to start somewhere.

I've found four of my photos so far that have been purloined. One is attributed to me on Flickr but the others are just used with no attribution. One I may have a problem with is one of my cardinal photos; a guy in Russia is giving it--and many others--away as free clip art. He says he will remove any that are shown to belong to someone else, but the best I can do is complain.
I think you are correct in most of the cases, people just don't know that it is illegal to take photos and stuff without permission; they don't know it is theft.
The ones who do it for their own gain should be prosecuted, like Cyrus is doing. He may have a long row to hoe ahead of him.

Of course, I would have been disappointed if I had not found one or two of my pics stolen; I know at least someone outside my normal contacts like them. ;-)))

All my pilfered shots so far have come from Flickr, although the same ones are on Megashot. They were all stolen before we began Megashot.
